While these are the faces who will most likely know you best, our success is powered by five additional departments working behind the scenes. Together, these teams collaborate to ensure everything runs smoothly and that we continue delivering the exceptional experience you expect from GFD.
Anoosh Dar, Member Care Administrator
1) How long have you been working at GFD?
Since 2022.
2) What do you enjoy most about working at GFD?
The people I work with, who have truly become like a second family to me. I love our shared purpose and seeing the positive impact we make for our members and their communities, as well as hearing our members’ incredible stories and making new friends along the way.
3) What is one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
Back in high school, I was a writer with over 2000 readers!
4) If you could describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Empathetic, funny, and thoughtful
5) What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Reading, watching K-Dramas, listening to music and enjoying life with my husband and daughter.
Elizabeth Markovic, Member Care Administrator
1) How long have you been working at GFD?
Since 2022.
2) What do you enjoy most about working at GFD?
What I enjoy most is the customer service side of my role in building relationships with our Members. I genuinely enjoy helping people, answering questions, and providing friendly, dependable service that makes things a little easier for our members.
3) What is one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
People may be surprised to learn that I have a great sense of humour. I love to laugh, have fun, and I have a playful side that may not always come through in my professional role.
4) If you could describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Caring, personable, and dependable.
5) What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and friends. I have a real passion for home décor and interior design, and I love refinishing furniture and giving old pieces new life. I’m also very passionate about natural health and wellness, so much show that I once considered going to school for it, and I’m always interested in learning more.

The people I work with and that we all work towards the same goal of helping our Members, so they can help the families they serve.
3) What is one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I enjoy K-Dramas over many English TV shows.
4) If you could describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Dependable, animal lover, calm

Shopping and relaxing
Cindy Keeting, Business Development Officer
1) How long have you been working at GFD?
Since 2016.
2) What do you enjoy most about working at GFD?
Building relationships with our members and helping funeral professionals grow their preneed programs while supporting the important work they do in their communities.
3) What is one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I enjoy travelling, exploring new places, and having adventures whenever I have the opportunity.
4) If you could describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Outgoing, supportive, knowledgeable.
5) What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Spending time with family, friends, and my dogs, travelling, and enjoying the outdoors.
Paul A. Taylor, Business Development Officer-Cemeteries

Since 2022 as a BDO.
2) What do you enjoy most about working at GFD?
It has a great team and I get to spend my days engaging with Cemeteries across the Province of Ontario.
3) What is one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I’m so busy on Christmas Eve.
4) If you could describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Enjoy’s living life.
5) What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Spending time at Port Albert on Lake Huron.
Laura Eccles, Business Development Officer

Since May of 2026.
2) What do you enjoy most about working at GFD?
What I enjoy most about working at GFD is the people and culture. The GFD culture is rooted in respect, trust, and accountability, and these values are shown in each and every team member. We believe strongly in the good work this organization does, and everyone supports each other.
3) What is one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
One thing people might be surprised to learn about me is that until the age of 27, I had never been on an airplane. 15 years later, and I’ve been on an airplane more times that I can possibly count.
4) If you could describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Authentic, inquisitive and empathetic.
5) What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy a very active lifestyle which includes weightlifting, hiking with my dog, golfing with my family and dragon boating.
